A quick look at 'R' Garden mid-August .. first an overview: the blue flax is done flowering and the lovely seed heads remain .....
the dahlias are just beautiful this season
and two views of the magnificent kale from the Citizen Seed trial ....... with zinnias making a show of pink - last year's colour were much more varied
Dwarf tomato Worry Plant "E" is loaded with fruit ....... but lots of foliage issues now starting to show up - bottom leaves have been removed from all five Worry plants in Bed 11
bean and Breen lettuce starts are looking good in Bed 10 - although I'm not too happy with all the wood bits in the soil ........

Two beauties - Cocozelle baby zucchini harvested August 5; Fred's Tie Dye tomato in upper left, some Cajun Belle peppers and Sunchocola tomatoes along with basil and beans harvested August 12 ....... zucchini spelt muffins - yum
these dahlias are amazing - non stop blooms ....... a few zinnias - not the lovely display of last year - and my rhubarb and kale
First a pic of the back container garden - the zucchini is amazing me - and pole beans and cucumbers are looking good - some of the tomato plants are beginning to shows signs of age ..
the tomato harvest begins - Red Lithium bottom and Sunchocola (yum) top ..... and the snow pea harvest ends ........ beans are providing a few tasty treats ......... and my first pepper of the year - Cajun Belle - a bit too hot for my taste -
