July 2 and 3 More to Harvest

More potatoes, along with potato onions and walking onions ..... and now space to sow some beets and green beans along with a variety of mixed lettuce

had to include an update on the Dwarf Scary project - Plant 4 has finally decided to set fruit

June 27 Harvest Time

What a great harvest - check out the potatoes, broccoli and even cauliflower!!  The Caraflex cabbage was delicious stir fried with a pat a butter and an orange bell pepper with fresh ground black pepper to taste .....

June 21 - Officially Summer!!

Summer's here, and the Dwarf plants are in their prime; most have set fruit except for the stubborn Plant 4 ..... the peppers and eggplant are enjoying the longer sunny days as well

June 9 Whoa ......

Almost time to start harvesting cabbage, potatoes are flowering and the kale is ready to go ........ walking onions are taking over!!

Plots 5 starting to overflow; self-seeded alyssum makes a great mulch and the beneficial insects love it too ..... 

 and again, the Scary Dwarfs with eggplant and peppers in smaller containers ... I don't think the tall one is a Dwarf, but more of a miniature with delicate regular leaves

May 21 Time to Cage Tomatoes

Now May 21, and it is time to add tomato cages to dwarf plants.  The cages are of little use for "normal" size tomatoes, but just perfect for these, which is one reason I'm drawn to Dwarf Tomatoes .....

and a little colour from some of my other containers ...

May 14 Dwarf Tomatoes are flowering

Here we are in mid May, and the potted tomatoes and peppers are adjusting well to their new home ..... there are even flowers on two of the Scary Dwarf plants
