October 27 Back Forty Volunteer Tomato

interesting ......  nice and meaty ..... perhaps a chance seedling from my Lillian cross grow outs?

 

on the cut ..... 

no taste notes to be found ... I recall it had 'something' and did ripen indoors from green ..... worth checking out next season, if only for size of fruit and very small plant

here's the plant .... tomato picked green on September  29

October 12 A few Pics from False Creek

A little tidbit about the domed building between the two grey high-rise structures ..... have no idea why it is now brown ....... has always been a green dome in my memory .... still just visible from across the Creek

a legacy project of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics .... the island was created in 2009 to compensate for fish habitat lost due to construction of Olympic Village ....... created to provide a refuge for both wildlife and pedestrians .... it also provides unobstructed views of Science World, English Bay and BC Place
