May 27 'R' Garden

Just a quick check in at 'R' garden .....

happy to see the transplanted Matilda pole beans have already started to twine

bush beans are sprouting ....... these are Masai

chard never fails to amaze with its colours

dahlias, glads and marigolds looking happy

don't usually have much luck with tomatoes in this garden, but had two extra Brad's Atomic Grape .... they seem good so far ....

Bed 11: tomato are greening up, can't decide if all the self-seeded nasturtiums will stay, although they add a spicy kick to salads; I also had two very shrivelled dahlia tubers with sprouted eyes I just had to squeeze in

this warm wet weather has brought on Bed 10 in full force ..... I just read that apart from salad additions the scarlet frills mustard is good stir-fired, so hopefully more will get used; I have been using this bed as a cut and come again

happy to see the Lilly tomatoes settling in Bed 64; some of the earlier sown lettuce has also decided to make an appearance

another wee harvest - my radishes just didn't happen this spring ....

May 26 Peppers are In

Lilly 10 my only potato leaf dwarf tomato of this variety ...... decided to keep this one close to home

the weather has warmed in the evenings and the peppers are finally in their forever home ... from l-r Zolotistyi, Donkey Ears, Donkey Ears, Zolotistyi, Donkey Ears and Super Shepherd

May 23 Beds 10/11 and 64

Last of the Lilly F2 tomatoes has found a home - this is Lilly 12 in Bed 11

a wee harvest - although most of the radishes had wireworm damage

explosive growth in Bed 10 - Oregon Giant snow peas and Sugar Ann snap peas should be flowering soon, while the Scarlet Frills mustard has taken over ......
