September 3 'R' Garden

September 2 Beds 10, 11 and 64

well, only two more weeks to go before the garden closes forever ...... but for now, still some nice harvests


Rose Quartz cherry and Crushed Heart ..... these will ripen in doors; some sage for drying and a small handful of green bush beans




September 2 Lily Tomatoes

note:  still not sure about the Lily T23-68 name ....... hoping for more flavour


Lily T23-68 up close ..... Taste:  7+
4 oz, beautiful on the cut, green seed gel; mild, not a lot of flavour, maybe not quite ripe?  picked green to save fruit from rats; bi-colour
and sliced

Lilibet  up close  Taste:  7+
7 oz, all meat, no core, flesh on mild side, but seed gel gives a lot of zing - nice looking tomato

August 30 Assorted Lily Tomatoes

Lily T23-68 from 'R' Garden  Taste: 7+  on mild side, sweet, pleasant with some depth, not a lot of tang; 6 oz.

Lilibet from 'R' Garden. Taste 8 ... lovely meaty juicy no core, could have a bit more depth, green seed gel, nice acid/sweet balance, clear skin; 5 oz.
